A card that you put into your hand from your opponent’s discard pile using the effect of the Item card Team Rocket’s Thieving Machine is treated as your card for the rest of that battle.
After the battle, the card is returned to its original owner. The card will not be lost.
Example: If you use the Item card Lucky Ice Pop after putting it into your hand from your opponent’s discard pile, flip a coin. If heads, that Lucky Ice Pop returns to your hand. If tails, it is put into your discard pile.
Example: If you use the Supporter card Copycat while you have an Item card in your hand from your opponent’s discard pile, shuffle your entire hand, including that Item card, into your deck.
