If both players have cards in play with effects that happen at the end of each turn, the effects of the cards belonging to the player whose turn is ending are applied first. For example, in a match between a player with Darkrai (from Mega Shine) in play and another player with an Asleep Pokémon with a Lum Berry attached, either of the following may occur:
• The turn of the player with Darkrai in play ends:
Darkrai’s Bad Dreams Ability takes effect first, doing 20 damage to the opponent’s Active Pokémon if it is Asleep.
After that, the opponent’s Active Pokémon recovers from being Asleep due to the effect of Lum Berry. Then, Lum Berry is discarded.
• The turn of the player with the Active Pokémon that has Lum Berry attached ends:
The Pokémon recovers from being Asleep due to the effect of Lum Berry. Then, Lum Berry is discarded.
Because the Active Pokémon is no longer Asleep, the opposing Darkrai’s Bad Dreams Ability does not take effect.
